Welcome to Selah: Bible Compass (“Selah”). Selah is owned and operated by Horizon Solutions LLC (“we”, “our”, or “the Company”). By using this application, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

1. Purpose of the App

Selah is a spiritual growth tool designed to help users reflect on biblical principles through assessments, reflections, and devotional content. Selah is not a diagnostic, psychological, or medical tool.

The app provides guidance rooted in Scripture but does not replace pastoral counseling, professional therapy, or medical advice.

2. Eligibility

By using Selah, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years old, or
  • You have parental/guardian permission to use the app.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use Selah in a manner consistent with:

  • Applicable laws
  • Respect for community content
  • The spiritual intent of the app

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored on it.

4. Data Storage & CloudKit Usage

Selah stores your personal test results, notes, reflections, and progress locally on your device unless you enable iCloud backup through Apple.

Selah uses CloudKit only for:

  1. Community Statistics (anonymous test name + score only)
  2. Shared Theology Studies (content only, not user data)

Selah also uses Firebase Analytics to track feature usage and screen views only. No personal data, test answers, verses, or notes are collected.

No identifiable personal information is uploaded or shared.

Use of CloudKit is subject to Apple’s terms and policies.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Selah may offer optional one-time purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple.

  • Payments are processed by Apple
  • Subscription status may unlock enhanced AI features
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple’s subscription settings

All purchases are subject to Apple’s terms and policies.

6. Intellectual Property

All app content, including:

  • Assessments
  • Reflections
  • Theology studies
  • Visual designs
  • App structure

…is owned by Horizon Solutions LLC or its content contributors/licensors.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify app content without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

7. AI-Generated Content

Selah makes use of AI-assisted content (e.g., reflections, theology studies). You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated materials are for spiritual encouragement and informational purposes only
  • They may contain minor inaccuracies
  • They should always be tested against Scripture

You remain responsible for your own interpretation and application.

8. Disclaimers

Selah provides content as-is without warranties of any kind. Specifically, Selah:

  • Does not provide clinical, psychological, medical, or legal advice
  • Does not guarantee specific spiritual outcomes
  • Does not assume responsibility for decisions made based on the content

If you need pastoral, psychological, or medical help, consult a qualified professional.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Horizon Solutions LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for:

  • Any damages resulting from app use or inability to use the app
  • Loss of data on your device or iCloud
  • Interpretation or application of assessments or reflections

Your use of the app signifies acceptance of these limitations.

10. Modifications to the App

Selah may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.

This includes:

  • Assessment questions
  • Reflection logic
  • Graphs and visualizations
  • Theological content

You agree that Horizon Solutions LLC is not liable for such changes.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time.

Selah may terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.

Deleting the app removes all local data from your device.

The app may include links to Bible resources, articles, or external websites. Selah is not responsible for the content, policies, or actions of third-party websites.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Horizon Solutions LLC is organized and/or operates, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

14. Updates to Terms

Selah may revise these Terms & Conditions periodically. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
